The German military cemeteries are located in the Al-Alamein region, east of Marsa Matrouh, about 180 kilometers and west of Alexandria, about 110 kilometers, and includes the remains of 4,200 German soldiers, in addition to 31 unidentified victims of the Second World War in the Battle of El Alamein, which is on a high hill overlooking the sea coast. It is supervised and assumed by one of the Bedouin families living in the region, for the good of the state of Germany through its embassy in Cairo, and the "German Greatness" as it is called, received great care and great attention from the German state, and organizes an annual celebration on October 22 of each year, to commemorate the soldiers who participated in the Second World War.
